Colour for men

Men have words for things. Colour is one of them.

We don't want some girly, made-up colours like cyan, magenta or puce. All we need is less than 16 colours to describe all we see around us.

The colours can be mixed freely, to get, for example, light blue, orangey-green, transparent purple. It's all very simple.

This doesn't mean that we don't see in billions of different colours, we just don't need that many words to describe them. Like the computer display, reducing the colours saves memory and lets us concentrate on the important things in life. Like scratching ourselves and inventing funny knicknames for our friends.

The colours we need are:
Red Blue Green White Black Grey Purple Brown Yellow

We also have modifiers to further extend these 9 colours: Light,
Dark,
-ish,
Transparent (we are geeky guys, after all).

-ish is fairly self-explanatory. You get lots more colours that way.
If all that fails, then we can still describe things in nice, healthy rgb colours. We've got 2^16 (16 million ish) of those to play with.
